After years in the fashion industry and abroad, I sensed I needed a change — without knowing exactly what for. A little adrift, I quit my job in Berlin and decided to travel the world. And it was on that trip, in Costa Rica, that I discovered a gelato shop: a small, unassuming place that turned simple ingredients into something remarkable. That moment sparked my interest in the craft of making gelato and never let me go.
Back in South Tyrol I began to see my home with new eyes: a region full of extraordinary products — and inside it, the idea: my own gelato manufaktur. "Mano" means hand — and that is exactly what my philosophy stands for: behind every scoop are many careful steps & the conviction that good things take time.
